As I get my blog started, I will probably
write a couple of retrospective posts – after all, I have done some fun things
this year so why not share them with the world (by world, I of course mean
whoever may stumble across the blog that I am yet to promote haha!)
So in June is was my boyfriend James’
sisters birthday, and Emily had decided that she wanted to go to The Shard for
cocktails. Well, she didn’t need to ask me twice. London and alcohol? IDEAL!
Emily chose to go to Aqua Shard, a cocktail
bar on the 31st floor of The Shard. I was so excited as I had wanted
to visit The Shard since it opened but had never gotten round to it, so this
was the perfect opportunity!
Aqua Shard is very classy, but also as you can imagine, rather expensive! Still, it is worth a visit for the amazing views and to try some delicious cocktails that you will probably not have heard of.
The green cocktail is a Devils Advocat, made from Vodka, cointreau, lime juice, agave syrup and avocado of all things! I cant remember the name of the pink cocktail I had, but that was also so good, and you see the one in the champagne flute, that was one James had called A Day Away which had had truffle in it. Tasted gorgeous, smelt horrific haha!!
We had such a great time, the cocktails were amazing and the views were spectacular even though we were less than halfway up the building!
xx
